dbskylerIn the mood to do a rec, so here we go . . .
A randomly generated fic rec is simply my way of spreading the fic-love around. While the Calufrax recommendations are great, there are a lot of stories that go unnoticed. This is my attempt to rectify that a little. To mix things up, and to keep myself from getting into a recommendation rut, I go to the Doctor Who Random Pairing Generator, here, then choose a fanfic story to recommend that is related to one or both of the characters that come up. If I can't think of a good story to recommend based on the first pairing of characters, I click again to get a new pairing. My only rule is I will not recommend a story that has already been recommended on Calufrax, since that defeats the purpose of spreading recommendations around.

Why the rec: It's a gorgeous story, full of little windows into the Doctor and his relationships. It catches you up and carries you along, the writing is beautiful, and it leaves you feeling sad and happy and wistful and content, all at the same time.

Date: 2009-07-25 08:08 pm (UTC)It's not going that well, unfortunately -- writing is slow again, and I'm feeling iffy about what I've written so far. I think I need to do another writing marathon and block out some large concentrated blocks of time for it, because that worked really well last chapter.
Thank you for asking, though -- it's actually really motivating to get reminded that someone wants to read what happens next. : )
