This is a mini fic_rush post that will contain spam, mentions of alien fish, and possibly also reports of myself and/or other people making progress on their fics over the weekend. Have at it!

Hey, isn't it a mitzvah to eat oily, fattening foods at Hanukkah? Who am I to argue with that? ; )

(Cat sufganya? Making sufganyot out of cats, or making sufganyot for cats?)

Mmmmmaaaaaaybe. I'm terrible with mitzvahs though! Especially when they're oily.. brr. I can't even eat cheese because of how oily it is!

(Hmmm. Well, could be either! OR cat-shaped sufganya.... Or maybe a cat made of sufganya... yeah I'll stop now).

So! Did you start writing yet? :P

Well, just as an example of what an incredibly observant Jew I am, I didn't light candles on the first or the second night because I couldn't find any candles. (I had thought I had some left over from last year, but apparently not.) Then I finally went out and bought candles, but I didn't light them last night either because I was going out and I couldn't leave them burning while I was gone (see: cats). So now we're coming up on the fourth night, and I might actually light the menorah for the first time. Good thing this holiday is eight nights long!

However, when it comes to eating latkes and sufganyot, I'm all over it. I happen to like oily, fried foods. : )

Brrr. Oily food. I don't mind fried as much, assuming it's not very oily - this can be achieved! :)

Hee about the hanukia story. :) I actually found in this flat some really old candles! I should use my amazing psychic powers and send them over to you. It's kinda funny - they're sitting here in the middle of the living room, but there's no hanukia in sight. This is a strange house.
