Friday rambles

dbskylerNow that I've figured out the html code for posting a picture on LJ, I have to see if I can manage to get the lovely illustration that tempestas_inu drew for me of a scene from "Miles from Aberdeen" onto the fic itself at Teaspoon. Wish me luck!
Changing the subject completely, but has anyone seen Casanova with David Tennant? I just started watching some of it, and it's a bit of a trippy experience -- like watching the Tenth Doctor pretending to be a Venetian womanizer. I've seen David in other roles and never before been reminded of the Doctor, but there are so many scenes in Casanova where he sounds exactly the same, it just keeps hitting me in the face. I suppose it's not too surprising considering that Casanova was written by RTD, and David used the same accent for both roles (or close enough to my ignorant American ears), but the result is a very surreal experience.
And that's it for the rambling. I'd love to give an update on my writing, but it's currently dead in the water again. I'm busy tomorrow, but I'm going to sit down on Sunday and see how much of a marathon session I can pull off.
