Considering you've lasted up 'til now I wouldn't be surprised if you could wait just one more week. But even if you did give in you'd still deserve due praise for being a FAR stronger person than most in fandom.
Yes, I think I ended up watching your feed -- three hours behind my time zone (Pacific time), which meant the show started at midnight and ended shortly after 1 a.m.
The entire episode for me was basically one long string of "OMG! Oh no! OMG! Oh NO! OMG!!!!" so I'm not sure how coherent my thoughts are going to be once I do try to get them together, but I will make the attempt later, I swear!
I was wondering about that actually, I saw that you'd posted on livejournal and I went "isn't it kinda late where she is? The episode should've aired hours ago there." I expected that either you would post immediately afterwards, or forgo doing so until a later date or something XD.
That's cool! We watched at the same time! That almost NEVER happens to me because of where I live. How did that come about anyhow? Does BBCA usually replay Doctor Who in sync with its airing in the next time zone over on the mainland?
HAHAH. When I first watched it I must've stared at my computer for at least a minute after the screen blacked out because I couldn't slow my breathing XD. My emotions kept flitting from anxious to scared to excited to numb.
BBCA broadcasts the show three times here -- 6 p.m. (the East Coast feed), 9 p.m. (the West Coast feed) and midnight (the Hawaiian feed). Although I'm on the West Coast, I usually watch at 6 p.m., because -- why wait? But last night I couldn't watch until 10 p.m. as I was out, and then I discovered I hadn't set the recorder for long enough (65 minute episode) and the recording missed the very end, so I had to wait for midnight to watch it again and see the full cliffhanger! But I had no trouble staying up, as there was NO way I was going to bed at that point without seeing it!
You might want to see if you can get the earlier mainland feeds -- I'd be curious to know if you can.

Honestly, I've never checked. I only ever watch BBCA when Doctor Who airs because again, my grandpa otherwise has reign over that TV full time. It'd be great if I could watch it earlier (6 pm) because often times he's taking a nap around that time. At 9 pm he's usually eating dinner (we eat really late) and wanting to watch something, so I feel bad about taking the TV from him.
I'm glad your grandpa lets you watch at 9, but it sounds like 6 would work even better if that's possible. Has he gotten interested in the show at all? Or is he just being nice?
The one time I was at my parents' house for an episode I hadn't seen and managed to get them to watch it with me, it happened to be "Sound of Drums," and my parents hated it. I couldn't blame them, because I hated it, too. I kept saying, "The show's a lot better than this normally, I swear!" but I haven't gotten them to watch anything since.
He watches, but for the most part he's just being nice... Actually, its highly unlikely he'll ever get interested, because of his age. A few years back maybe I could see him getting into it, but he's gotten to a point where he's having issues following fast-paced stories. Lately when he watches movies he gets confused and has to have my mom explain them to him (which sometimes, as she rants to me, drives her up the wall). It's really sad because he used to love action-y sci-fi stuff :(. I guess that's what can happen when you're in your 90's. He'll watch anything that's on, but nowadays it seems he only really enjoys war movies/documentaries, because that was stuff he lived through and therefore he grasps it better.
In contrast, I've gotten my dad mildly interested in the series. He's always been the parent to humor me, and I've actually managed to get him into some of the things I watch. Doctor Who wasn't a hit with him per se, but it wasn't a total miss either because since showing it to him, he's watched every episode on BBCA with me should he walk into the room when its on. He REALLY loved the Eleventh Hour though, particularly the part when the Doctor realizes that the "policewoman" in front of him is actually Amelia and he's been gone 12 years. My dad won't stop quoting that part, its quite amusing XD.

That's wonderful that your grandfather's in his 90's, but yeah, it can be hard when relatives get that old and can't do everything they used to be able to do. I have the same issue with my grandmother. She would never watch "Doctor Who," though. As for my parents, maybe they'll try it again, but I'm not holding my breath. But I'm glad to hear your father loved "Eleventh Hour"! :D

I prefer streaming sites over downloads anyway. Do I know of a site that will stream "Big Bang" for me? Why yes, yes I do. Oh look, there it is. With a big "play" button right . . . there.
But it will be so much better to experience it on TV! With the big screen, and the sound system, and all the anticipation built up from having waited . . .
But there it is, right NOW. Clicky clicky! It wants me to click. It does!
Good thing I'm getting hungry. I need to go get lunch, then figure out what I'm bringing to a potluck later. This is going to be a tough week!
