weekend rambles

fic_rush. It was great to see so many of my flist there, even though in most cases it was me reading your posts after-the-fact since I wasn't around during the same hours. It's weird how you can forget how far apart we all live until someone is posting about waking up shortly after you've gone to bed!
-- Speaking offic_rush, I worked on another 50ficlets ficlet which is kinda sorta finished, depending on whether I want to declare it so or not. Basically there's stuff there that I could expand and work on, or else I could call it a ficlet and post it. I don't want to get too hung up on the quality of my ficlets since part of the original point was to approach these as writing exercises and allow myself to go back and re-work the best ones, but I do feel that this particular ficlet is still pretty far off the mark from where I would like it. On the other hand, if I keep trying to turn my ficlets into polished pieces, I am never ever going to get through all 50. Well, maybe I'll give this one a little bit more time and work and see what happens.
-- Finally got to see "Amy's Choice" and I've watched it 3 times already. Non-spoilery summation is that I loved it. I am also finally loving the new TARDIS. More to come in an official reaction post later, after further processing.

Crazily enough last night when my dad was flipping channels I discovered that we in fact DO get BBCA (I was going "What what WHAT!?" when I suddenly heard the theme song), but only on the TV in our house that has the cable box..... which is also the TV I never watch because my grandfather is perpetually watching that one.
