Summary: She knows he's dying.
She knows, and so she wants to protest when he inputs the coordinates, when he directs her to repeatedly skip across time, in and out, running errands.
She knows, and so she takes him exactly where he wants to go, then exactly where he needs to go, twice. She'd been saving those trips as future treats -- easy fixes, just what he needs sometimes -- but now she squanders them both, desperate to help him. She doesn't know if they help, but she thinks she senses gratitude when he returns the second time. She does know that for two brief moments he is distracted from the pain, and she is thankful for that.
When another trip is finished and he doesn't walk in but staggers, she knows that he can hold off the regeneration no longer. She keens as he goes to her console, holding himself up against her sturdy frame. He directs her into space and she lets fly, her last trip with this incarnation of her Time Lord. She knows better than most that he will remain the same man, yet still she grieves for what is about to be lost, as does he.
He is so sad, so broken. He burns, and she longs to embrace him, to support him. He shouldn't have to go through this alone.
He burns, and she begins to burn with him. Together they will shed what's broken.
She burns, and then she falls.
Together, they will be renewed.
