Drabble: Other Uses for Sonic Devices

Muses are starting to come back at least a little bit, because I have written a drabble! This is from a prompt on the cc_sff community, in their Sarah Jane Drabble Tag thread.

Title: Other Uses for Sonic Devices
Rating: G
Characters: Sarah Jane Smith, Tenth Doctor
Summary: En garde!
A/N: Based on this prompt: Sarah Jane, Ten, non-standard use of sonic screwdriver.

The noise from her sonic lipstick was ruining it, so Sarah turned that part off and just kept the tip glowing red while she made her own sound effects. The Doctor soon followed her lead, and the humming noises he produced were really quite good as he fended her off with his blue-tipped sonic screwdriver.

"I am stronger in the Force than you!" proclaimed the Doctor. He gave his sonic screwdriver a spin, then waved it around.

"Never!" cried Sarah, brandishing her lipstick.

Blue against red, good against evil, they battled. The Doctor smiled, and for once let evil win.

Thank you! I don't write a lot of drabbles, and I'm usually not too fond of the ones I do write, but this one I actually kind of like. Of course, that might just be because I'm excited to have finally written something. Only 1700 more words to go to catch you up! ; )

Oh, thank you! It's fun to be geeky about two fandoms in one drabble . . . but now I want a lightsaber, damn it.

I'm also really glad to hear you like the last line. I love sneaking in a little Doctor/Sarah "aww" moment, as you know.

Yes, except I swapped it for this, because I still had no Sarah icon, so I went dual purpose. I think it was one of just_say_maybe's, but I'd have to go check.

You're right, the other one was just_say_maybe's. I have limited icon space, though, so I'll just bookmark it for now.
