You guys, the SJA cast has made a special last episode, written by Russell T. Davies, and it's beautiful and it made me cry.

Can you summarise it? As far as I can tell it's Sarah Jane's funeral and everyone comes. Is there anything interesting that happens apart from that? I only listened to the first 30 seconds because I generally dislike killing characters off just because the actor is dead anyway, but at the moment I have absolutely no desire to deal with character death in fiction.

Yes, the narrator talks about her funeral and the people who come, then there are small scenes where Jo Jones, Gita, Ace McShane, Clyde, and Luke talk directly to the camera (played by Katy Manning et al., and obviously filmed at home during quarantine, but well done). Then the last scene is Rani, and that's the bit that brought tears to my eyes. If you just want that, fast forward to 11:01 and start from there. Trust me, it's worth it.

Thanks. That's pretty much what I thought it involved, although I did think it was all narrated, so it's cool they got those actors to do a bit.

I definitely don't want to listen to anything that will make me cry, so I'll not bother with the 11:01 bit.

It's not sad; I cried because it was beautiful. Okay, I'll tell you the ending, and you can decide if you want to watch it.

scroll down for spoilers . . .

Rani says she doesn't believe that Sarah Jane is dead. She says she thinks that right at the end, the Doctor came back for her, and took her away, and the two of them are out there in time and space, traveling together.

Oh, FFS. That doesn't make me cry, I find it too ridiculous.

YMMV. I found it beautiful and touching.
