miscellany madness

Don't have anything in particular to talk about, but I feel in the mood to post, so here we go:

-- job search is proceeding apace. Job is also proceeding apace. Believe it or not, this is the first time I have actively looked for a new job while still working at the old job. It takes up a lot of energy and time. I should be writing a cover letter right now, but instead I'm writing an LJ post. That won't give me more time, but it will give me more energy. Or that's the excuse, anyway.

-- I think it's just as well I couldn't purchase the BF audio for my plane rides, because I did purchase an audiobook and tried to listen to it, but it was too hard to hear it over the ambient noise of the plane. With music, the volume tends to stay the same all the way through, but that's not the case with actors speaking. I kept getting frustrated at missing words, until I finally turned it off and watched the seatback TV instead. Although, maybe I just need better headphones.

-- At some point I will attempt a BF purchase again, but not just yet.

-- My cats are cute. Just had to throw that one in.

-- I am tired of the rain. Had to throw that one in, too.
