Dec. 30th, 2008 09:30 pmI'm going away for New Year's so I probably won't be posting again until 2009. And what better way to leave off the year than with another miscellany post?
-- Still working on chapter 1 of my "Turn Left" DW/SJA crossover. And the problem with writing a story based on "Turn Left" is I had to re-watch "Turn Left." I still really don't like that episode. Why can't I get a cool idea for a story based around an episode I enjoyed? I wouldn't mind another shot at "School Reunion" . . . (although I probably wouldn't even have to re-watch that, I think I have the whole thing well and truly memorized by now).
-- There's a Doctor Who fan club group here that is doing a showing of "The Next Doctor" on Sunday, and I am holding out and waiting to see the episode with them. Wasn't sure if I was going to make it to be honest, but now that I am leaving on my trip the rest should be easy-peasy. I am really, really, really looking forward to it. And I am enjoying the fact that I am looking forward to it. I still have very fond memories of seeing "The Two Doctors" for the first time at a convention and it was just so much fun to watch it with such an appreciative audience. I know it's possible that I will be the only person in the room who won't have seen the episode yet, but as long as I can avoid getting spoiled as soon as I walk in the door, I think I'll have a great time.
-- And I think that's it. Oh wait, there was one thing more . . .
