A couple of ways I have moved on since the disappointing "Turn Left":
1) new icon!!! I am so jazzed that I am finally figuring out LJ and the whole icon/ userpic thing. Made by x_crackerbox, who actually explicitly said it was available for the taking (I'd seen icon posts before but wasn't sure of their purpose, I thought maybe people were just sharing pictures, not providing them for others to use as userpics). Great work, and thank you!!
2) Upon further reflection, I still don't like "Turn Left," but it did set off an idea for a fanfic story which is now almost complete. I'll let it rest for a little while longer and then decide if I want to post it or not.
3) I have caved. As in, completely. Even though I much prefer to watch Doctor Who on television, and I kind of enjoy the excitement of waiting for the next episode to come . . . I have gone and watched all of "Stolen Earth / Journey's End" on the internet. Maybe if "Turn Left" had been better I could have waited, but I didn't. And it's a little sad that I'm not super duper excited about tomorrow being Friday, but I'll still watch the regular broadcast of "Stolen Earth" on TV and tape it just as usual. It'll be interesting to see if I get a different impression on the full-screen TV, although of course it will be different just from the fact that it won't be my first viewing. Um, by a longshot, I'm afraid, because I haven't just watched once, I have replayed bits. I'm still digesting, so I will post my reaction later, but here's my spoiler-free summation: Well done.
