So my fanfic story that is based on "Turn Left" isn't going anywhere -- it's staying at its "almost-but-not-quite-complete" stage, and I keep revising it and I still get the overall feeling that I'm just not accomplishing what I set out to accomplish. And it's in the "five scenes" genre, and I'm realizing that there's really only one of the five scenes that I'm really committed to, and the other four are basically filler. So now I'm wondering if I should just post the one scene as a very short story -- 182 words -- which is basically a double drabble (less than one, actually) which would be very ironic as I'm a self-professed hater of drabbles. But on the other hand, I still like this one idea I'm trying to convey, and I like the way I've conveyed it. So maybe I will just do it. It's SJS-based, so maybe I'll even try to post it over on the girl_reporter LJ comm first and judge its reaction there before seeing if I want to post it on Teaspoon. I've never posted fic on LJ before; it would be interesting to see how that goes.

In the meantime, I've actually gone and started *another* fic based on "Journey's End," which does feel like it's going somewhere except I'm not sure how to end it. I'd also like to try to get a beta for it, which would be a first for me for my Doctor Who fic but a good thing, partly because it's always good to have a beta and partly because I know I do strange things with commas sometimes in my fic since I write the way I hear it in my head.

Finally, I'm pleased to say that I am really looking forward to seeing "Stolen Earth" tonight on TV despite the fact that I already know what happens. And I do have to add that it's very nice to not have to worry about spoilers anymore!
