randomly generated fic rec

It's been ages since I've done a randomly generated fic rec, so here we go!
A randomly generated fic rec is simply my way of spreading the fic-love around. While the Calufrax recommendations are great, there are a lot of stories that go unnoticed. This is my attempt to rectify that a little. To mix things up, and to keep myself from getting into a recommendation rut, I go to the Doctor Who Random Pairing Generator, here, then choose a fanfic story to recommend that is related to one or both of the characters that come up. If I can't think of a good story to recommend based on the first pairing of characters, I click again to get a new pairing. My only rule is I will not recommend a story that has already been recommended on Calufrax, since that defeats the purpose of spreading recommendations around.
Randomly generated character: The Eleventh Doctor
Fic: Make Believe
Author: musedepandora
Author's summary:It didn't end in The Library. For either of them. (Eleven/River, Amy. Spoilers through Pandorica).
Characters: Eleventh Doctor, River, Amy
Rating: All Ages
Spoilers: As the author says, through The Pandorica Opens
Length: 3269 words
Why the rec: It's a simple but brilliant premise: the Doctor sometimes takes the TARDIS back to orbit The Library so he can have conversations with the River he left there in the computer. There's no false romance pasted on here; their relationship is exactly as portrayed in canon, with the Doctor both drawn to and bothered by River, while River is as mysterious as ever. Her status as a dead hologram is not shied away from, nor is the Doctor's fundamental discomfort around her -- and yet it completely works. In the end it's a fascinating exploration of two very complicated characters who have a complex relationship with each other, perfectly executed.
