Recs of any sort may be posted at any time, but in addition we have monthly themes. tardis_library's theme for June is now closed, and here is our new theme for July:


Seventh Doctor // Game

"You always know. You just can't be bothered to tell anyone. It's like it's some kind of game, and only you know the rules."

This month is the seventh month of the year and coincidentally, it's the turn of the Seventh Doctor to hog the spotlight. Bring out your favourite fanworks for Seven and anything and anyone from their era or works that feature games in any way, or, as ever, both.

Post your recs to the community in the normal way any time from now until midnight on 31st July 2025 in your timezone. (See Info & Guidelines for posting template and instructions). Recs posted for monthly themes have their own tag with banners at the end of the year for reccers who posted something for at least six out of the twelve themes over the year. (Just let me know if you prefer not to receive banners.)

When making your post, add the tag "other: monthly theme". (The mods can take care of any other needed tags if you prefer, but a challenge/theme tag could easily be missed.)

Our current Seasonal Challenge is Reccer's Bingo, which is open for sign ups for cards and posting recs until 21 September 2025.


Request List
Anyone may also request any specific recs they'd like to see. (e.g. "Fourth Doctor fic, not on Teaspoon," "Cheerful Bill Potts artwork," "Leela vid," "recent Ten/Rose," etc.) If you are only interested in one medium (fic/vid/art etc/), don't forget to specify.

It's time for tardis_library's annual Reccer's Bingo!

Reccer's bingo!
Sign up for a bingo card, rec 1-5 works per square till you achieve a bingo.

The challenge is open from now until midnight in your timezone on Sunday 21st September 2025.

How it works:
1. Sign up for your card in the comments below. You can ask for up to 10 prompts to be excluded from the prompt list. (Feel free to interpret prompts as widely as you please, as long as the works you rec for each square still relate to the prompts in some way. )

2. Post your rec(s) for each square to this community. Please post recs for the same square together in the same post. If you have 3+ recs in one post, please use a cut. (1-5 recs per each prompt min/max.)

Tag each post with "other: seasonal challenge."

3. Continue to post fills until you have achieved a bingo - five squares in a row in any direction, but any recognised bingo pattern comprising 5+ squares is fine, up to and including a Blackout (filling all the squares on your card).

(hc_bingo's guidelines on how to achieve a bingo are still fairly comprehensive if you want to check out all possible variations.)


Once you're done, you can claim a brand new card, or use your original card for extras (again, see hc_bingo link above for examples - e.g. reccing works that meet multiple prompts simultaneously etc.)

Treat recs for extras in the same way as the original bingo squares, with each individual fill/rec/rec set posted to the comm as one post.
