fic_rush round two this weekend!

Just helping to advertise that the second round of fic_rush is this weekend, starting midnight GMT Friday night / Saturday morning, and running to midnight GMT Sunday night / Monday morning.

What is fic_rush? So glad you asked. It's a communal writing event where people work on whatever they want to write, and check in with each other to give and receive encouragement, share triumphs and disasters, and just generally have a good time. There's no time commitment -- write for as long or as short a time as you want, and feel free to drop in and out. It is open to all fandoms, not just Doctor Who.

I encourage everyone to give it a try. I'm not sure if I'll be around this weekend, but if I am, I'll definitely drop in for part of it.

As a general rule I write less over the weekend than during the week. My job's such that I can easily spend large chunks of 4.5 hours writing without too much interruption. Weekends are saved for boring chores and catching up on watching/listening/reading...

Might not work for you then since I'm pretty sure it will always be held over a weekend. If you do get curious, though, and in the mood to write, feel free to drop on by, even if it's for a short period.

Yeah, someone mentioned it to me a little while ago and I said the same thing to them. I get much more writing done Monday to Friday than over the weekend, eg. I wrote 1500 words yesterday in 4.5 hours, I wrote about 500 on Sunday!
