. . . and I am getting seriously hooked on Merlin.

For all I know, it's been canceled for a year and a half by now in the UK, but here in the US it's just starting to get shown -- on NBC, of all stations, which is about as mainstream as you can get. It's awesome that we're getting the original and not an American remake, although it's probably getting cut to make room for commercials (but hopefully not too badly). Anyway, I've been really enjoying it so far.

Oh well, what's another fandom between friends?

it's been canceled for a year and a half by now in the UK

It only started last summer after Doctor Who and as far as I know it got a second series. The BBC website doesn't say when the second series will start, assuming there is one, but given that it took forever to load, I didn't look that closely.

Only a year behind then, good to know! And ooh, second series. NBC's website won't tell me how many episodes there are, and I'm afraid to go to the BBC or Wikipedia for fear of getting spoiled, but nice to know it goes on for awhile (and might continue to go on).

By the way, there's nothing on the NBC site that says this was brought over from the BBC . . . they make it sound as if this is their show. Too bad for them that I'm on Livejournal and already knew better. : )
