There are BBC audiobooks in existence that are narrations of Classic Who episode novelizations read by -- get this -- Tom Baker!!!! That's like . . . like . . . like listening to a novelization of the original "Star Wars" read by James Earl Jones!

Only better.

What do they have? Brain of Morbius and Pyramids of Mars. The only catch is they cost $20 and $19 respectively on iTunes . . . compare that with $8 for the David-Tennant-narrated "Pest Control" or "Stone Rose."

As David Tennant himself would say -- draw your own conclusions. ; )

If only they were a little cheaper . . . or if I didn't already own both episodes on DVD . . .

Hey, the novzats are a whole other thing from the DVDs. A whole other thing. (Like many TV novzats, they were done from early scripts rather than from the finished recording, and involve a good deal of imagination on the part of the novelizer.)
