Was dog-sitting for someone who had Netflix streaming, so I got to watch the first two episodes of Jessica Jones. It's good! I think I might have to pony up for one month of Netflix streaming so I can watch the rest. (Or do a lot more dog-sitting.)

My non-spoilery favorite thing about the show? The fact that David Tennant is not trying to use his terrible "American" accent. Maybe the producers saw "Gracepoint" and politely told him they would love it if Kilgrave had an English accent?

I was worried they were going to try to get him to do something else, since I think in the comics the character is originally eastern European, or something? (I've never read them.) Then again, to Americans, British accents often read quite well as "this guy is the villain" so it isn't all that surprising to me they had him do that. But yes, let us all give thanks we were spared the Gracepoint sound.

I still can't believe they let him do the Gracepoint accent. Wasn't there any point where someone thought that wasn't a good idea? On set, in the rushes, in post-production . . . ?
