Better Call Saul

dbskylerI don't know if anyone else out in LJ-land is watching this show, but I just had to post.
Man, poor Jimmy. But then again, he had his shot. He could have taken the partner-track position. And he chose to drive away!
This is a weird show, and it's doubly weird for me because I didn't watch Breaking Bad, so in essence I'm watching an origin story for a character I know nothing about. They're not writing it for me; they're writing it for the people who already know how Jimmy ends up. Instead, I have to find out the hard way!
I definitely have a lot of sympathy for the character, though. I think that's okay. I mean, aren't we supposed to have sympathy for him? At least, at this point, anyway? I don't know, if they turn him into an out-and-out criminal in season two, I may stop having sympathy. I may also stop watching. I like Jimmy McGill, but I don't know if I'll like Saul Goodman.
I guess I'll find out?
ETA: I just found out that Mike dies in Breaking Bad! Nooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!
