I'm writing!

dbskylerI am actually working on a fic! I don't have much written for it yet, but it's "jelled," if that makes any sense -- I feel energy and momentum with it, which is something that has been missing from my writing attempts for a very long time. It's still possible that I will stall out on it, but for now, I am enjoying the experience. : )
I have also been inspired to go back and look at some of my past writing, in particular my work for50ficlets. Some of those ficlets turned out to be pretty good stories, and I posted them on Teaspoon when I wrote them. Some of the ficlets are probably best forgotten. (But that's okay; in fact, part of the point of doing it!) Then there are a few ficlets -- I've identified two so far -- that don't really work as stand-alone stories, but are nice little pieces of writing that I still like, and therefore think are worthy of getting posted.
My original goal for50ficlets was to take the best of them and put them up on Teaspoon as a collection of vignettes, possibly loosely woven together. I'm now thinking that I don't want to wait. Even though I only have two, I've decided to go ahead and create a "ficlet collection" story on Teaspoon, and put these in as the first chapters.
Apparently I am still starving for new reviews . . . *embarrassed cough* . . . but I also hope that actually posting something on Teaspoon will spur me on with my current fic.

Date: 2012-06-25 07:48 pm (UTC)Everything I start writing lately stalls after a few days - usually as a result of me running out of energy (owing to work and pain) before I can finish. It's really annoying and a bit depressing too.

But if you don't get many, I've noticed it being so much quieter than it used to be when I've posted. Either it's my obscurity again, or everyone's written me off in my absence, I don't know. :-/
