WTF LiveJournal??

Something really, really weird is going on. Comments that I made last night in my previous post -- which I know I didn't dream, because they were replied to -- are now suddenly gone, as are people's replies to those comments (which I know about because I got email notices, even though they are not showing up in the post).

Did LJ lose data or something, and restore from a back-up that doesn't include the latest changes to the post? Or did I suddenly slip into an alternate universe?

Anyone else having problems like this?

I've no idea - I have had some comments go unanswered, but whether that's 'cos I'm being ignored or LJ ate the answers, I've no idea.

There's definitely something up with LJ. Just now, this post right here appeared to be gone, and I wondered if it had actually posted. When I went to fic_rush_48, not only was my latest post there gone, but the most recent post showing up to me was Hour 8! I shut down my computer and started it up again, and everything was all right, except last night's comments are still missing from the previous post.

I haven't had any problems at all, but then I've just this minute got back on, so I haven't checked everything is still there. (Although it seems to be.)

The solution is obvious: it is clearly the non-linearity and wibbly-wobblyness of fic_rush that has infected LJ. Something weird happens every time, so it must be a fact. The penguins must be sent in to deal with the evil Time Chicken!!

Now all the comments are back in the previous post. I swear they weren't showing up there (or at least, not to me) five minutes ago. I wonder if it's some weird server problem.

Could be! Athough I also wonder if there's another DDoS going on, because apparently LJ had one not long ago.
