The eligible fandom list just came out for Yuletide, and Sarah Jane Adventures made the list!! Actually, I initially thought it hadn't made the list and I was all set to write a "special bonus whimpering" plea for reconsideration (seriously, that's what they call it) when I thought to check under "The Sarah Jane Adventures," and there it was!

*happy dance*

Now I just have to decide if I'm willing to sign up and write a 1,000-word story to a strict deadline in return for the possibility of getting Gita!fic. What to do, what to do . . .

There's no guarantee you'd get an SJA fic though, as you have to request at least three fandoms.

Yep, I know. Truthfully if I were only in it for the SJA fic, I'd probably be better off sending more plot bunnies over to dw_straybunnies, since that's already worked once.

They haven't said yet. Sign-ups are opening "in a few days" (exact date TBA), and I don't remember how long they stayed open for last year. You might want to watch yuletide_admin for the announcements, although I'll try to say something here, too.

(I always consider signing up, but never do, as I can't guarantee I'll hit the 1000-word minimum. I'm a congenital drabbler. Still, it's fun to think about.)

I'm all excited, as I can sign up for the first time, so I shall be off to check out that list presently.

I have been jotting down possible requests already (because I always forget that part of exchange ficathons, so had to have a think). :-)

I'll be excited if you do it! Part of me does kind of want to do it too, but part of me isn't sure. I'm doing a WIP challenge right now that has me committed to 1,000 new words on my Turn Left fic by the end of the month, and so far I have actually managed a negative word count -- more words lost to editing than new words written. Not promising! Do I want to add Yuletide on top of that?
