pardon me while I play Jon Stewart

I don't usually get political on LJ, but I just happened across the most incredible comment to a news article about the new Arizona immigration law and I need to publicly poke at it.
For context, the new law requires Arizona police to question people "if there is reason to suspect they are illegal immigrants," such reason presumably including, say, the color of their skin, their last name or their accent. It basically turns Arizona into a place where people need to be ready to prove their citizenship status at any time -- so if you have brown skin, you better carry your passport with you everywhere you go, as if you were in a different country or something. (Assuming you even have a passport. Better get one before you go to Arizona.)
Now here's the comment that absolutely floored me. The original text of the comment is in bold, with my own notes in plain text:
This is absolutely the way it has happened in our country with the illegals. Have a house full down the street. Every weekend they . . .
Okay, house full of illegal immigrants living down the street; what horrific things might they get up to on a weekend that would cause this poster to complain? Robbing people? Murdering people? Maybe they go out in scary mobs and harass the neighbors? Tell me, poster, what do they do?
. . . sit out in their yards
Um, what? They sit out in their yards on the weekend? That's what you're complaining about? Seriously?
. . . with loud spanish music going and playing games.
They . . . sit out in their yards playing games? To music? Well, that certainly is . . . really nothing to complain about, is it? Sounds like a rather nice group of people, actually. In fact, it sounds like a lot of fun. Maybe if you asked, they would let you come hang out and play some games with them. Oh, wait, you did say the music was loud and Spanish. Maybe if you asked nicely, they'd throw some Mexican music into the mix. You never know. Maybe even a little CCR. And if you think it's too loud, they might even be willing to turn it down a tad if you asked. Just a thought.
At the end of the night they are so drunk that . . .
Ah, now we're talking! Drunk! Drunk neighbors! Okay, so this must be where the inappropriate behavior comes in, right? Drunk neighbors who do drag races up and down the street? Drunk neighbors who throw up in your bushes? Drunk neighbors who rape, pillage, and maim? Come on, give it to me, poster!
. . . they stagger in their houses.
[pause]
They . . . get drunk, and then go inside?
[pause]
Okay, then.
Makes me afraid to even take my dog outside for her nightly visit.
Well, I can certainly see how that behavior would be frightening.
No, actually I really can't at all. What the hell is wrong with you????
The really frightening thing here is that you probably have no idea how completely ludicrous your "complaints" are. Can Arizona pass a law against racist imbeciles like you?
