writing update

Unfortunately, not much to update. I hit the end of one scene in chapter 3 and since then have been stopped dead in the writing. I have three scenes left to go in the chapter, and I know what happens in them, but for some reason I am completely uninspired . . . not sure why. In fact, I'm even having trouble doing my normal editing on what's been written for the chapter so far. I've been in the mood to read other people's fanfic, but not work on my own. Hopefully whatever is causing the block will break soon.
In the meantime, what I do have written for chapter 3 so far is 2,178 words and I'm wondering if I should just make it another chapter break right here and post. The ending isn't exactly a cliffhanger or anything, but it is a scene ending and a legitimate place for a chapter break. I'm feeling pressured about going too long between posting chapters, and I think that's adding to my lack of productivity. Also, 2000 words isn't a bad length for a chapter and I think that I'm at least 2,000 words away from my original place for the chapter ending.
Arghhh. Last time I did a big multi-chapter fic I had 7 chapters in my outline and it stayed that way through the whole thing, but this time my estimates of how long certain sections will run are way, way off . . .
