First, I have to share how extremely happy I am that my very first ficathon entry ever, Fallacy Somewhere, has gotten so many nice comments back. I somehow suspect that there's a bigger overlap between Doctor Who fandom and Gilbert and Sullivan fandom than I knew . . . : ) I did worry that I was getting too self-indulgent with the G&S references, and I wondered if the admittedly one-note joke was wearing out long before the end, especially once I made the decision to do all 13 Doctors. But I had a ton of fun with it myself, and there is obviously something to be said for writing what you want to read and not overly worrying about how others are going to react to it.

I've been starting to explore the extras on the Doctor Who series 4 DVD boxset. I'm a little disappointed that David Tennant only did his video diary thing for "Journey's End" and for one event at Blackpool, but both were really good. And I can understand how it might start to feel old after awhile to keep doing these, so I don't blame him. One new and kind of interesting thing is that RTD introduces the deleted scenes and explains why they were deleted. And the box set does include "Time Crash," which I was hoping it would.

I've been a little sick and have therefore indulged in an extremely lazy Saturday. I really ought to go out and do grocery shopping, but I don't want to. And besides, Netflix has finally made their "watch instantly" feature compatible with my Mac, which means I can lie here in bed with my cats and lazily browse through a bunch of movies and TV shows on my laptop. Which is so much better than actually accomplishing anything today.
