SNL musing

Just saw the Thursday night special of Saturday Night Live, and again it just wasn't as amusing as the skits with Tina Fey doing Sarah Palin. And I'm not just talking about her brilliant impersonation (although it is brilliant); I mean the quality of the writing itself is not at the same level. So now I'm wondering: has Tina Fey been helping to write the material she appears in? And if so, can SNL get her back as a writer, just for one or two skits a week between now and oh, let's say Nov. 4th?
