my Teaspoon fanfic scorecard
Oct. 9th, 2008 12:11 amI really do pay way too much attention to my statistics on Teaspoon. Don't know if posting this will make the situation better or worse, but here it goes, from most successful story to least successful:
First place: Miles from Aberdeen with 14 unique reviewers and 14 favorites (and no, not the same 14 -- not nearly, which seems to be a pattern, at least with my stories).
Second place: Subtext with 9 reviewers, 7 favorites (not bad for the first DW fanfic I ever wrote; although I cheated, because half of it was written by Toby Whithouse ; ) )
Third/fourth place: A tie between No More Than He Deserved and This Never Happened, each with 5 reviewers and 6 favorites.
Fifth place: Nameless with 5 reviewers and 5 favorites.
Sixth place: Match Point with 5 reviewers and 4 favorites.
Seventh place: As Simple As That with 5 reviewers and 2 favorites.
And the last ones aren't worth reporting, they're just sort of hanging out there. Which is okay.
For some reason, a lot of my stories have 5 reviewers. And not the same 5. Very strange. Or cryptic. Or mystic. Or all three.
And is it just me, or has Teaspoon suddenly gotten busier with more fanfic postings? Curiously enough, it's also getting harder to find stories I want to read based on the story summaries. Is that because the quality is dropping, or is it because I've read enough DW fanfic now that a lot of it is starting to sound the same?
