don't forget me

Okay, I never would've guessed that watching the second half of "The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith" would make me need to immediately go re-watch an episode of Classic Who . . . and even if I had guessed that, I wouldn't've guessed that the episode I would need to re-watch was "Hand of Fear."

But that's just what happened.

Other than that, I don't feel ready to make a post about my reaction yet, other than to say that I liked it.

Not that interesting, really -- it's just that the ending scene where the Doctor said "don't forget me" really reminded me of the ending scene in "Hand of Fear" where Sarah said "don't forget me," and I needed to go back and re-watch it. Except that I ended up going back and re-watching the entire story because I also felt in the need of some full-on Doctor / Sarah moments, and there are some wonderful ones in that story.

Aha! Yes, someone on my FList reminded me of that, after I'd responded to your post... I must admit, I'm tempted to rewatch both Planet of the Spiders (dire though it is in places) and HoF, for the sake of her saying goodbye to both her earlier Doctors.
