not a happy day . . .

I was so hoping that I could retire this icon today, but apparently it was not to be . . .

I understand why the California Supreme Court ruled the way they did. I believe that the majority (damn, hopefully all of them) recognized Prop 8 as being morally reprehensible, but in the end they had to rule on its legality, not its morality.

But it still sucks.
