Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that there's anything wrong with Freema's accent! I mean, of course there isn't. I just found it harder to understand what she's saying than I did when she was playing Martha. Or it could simply be that I got really used to Martha. It can take me awhile sometimes to understand a given British accent. I think the first time I heard David Tennant's real accent, I missed a good 25% of what he was saying. I'm much better at understanding him now, though!
Glad that Law & Order: UK is doing so well for Freema!
As for Single Father, it does seem like the kind of thing that will show up over here on PBS eventually. Which reminds me, Sherlock is premiering here on PBS on Sunday. I do have something else to look forward to besides SJA!
Well if you've only seen one ep of L&O:UK with Freema compared to 18 episodes of DW with Freema (not counting 3 eps of Torchwood too) then I should think you had got used to Freema's accent when playing Martha, but not yet got used to her accent when she's playing Alesha.
As for Sherlock, the first episode (written by Teh Moff) is far and away the best of the three.
