That's a smart strategy. I keep wanting to imagine what I would do with the episode if I was writing it, which is a terrible strategy for avoiding disappointment. Although I can still be pleasantly surprised by RTD being a far better writer than I am (which he is, of course).

Conversely, I do this too. I play both scenes that I would want to happen as well as worst case scenarios -_-' Usually I end up dismissing my hopes, but I can't stop thinking about them.
I'm actually a bit more optimistic than I normally would be in a situation like this though, I've heard reports from the advanced screening of the episodes were positive.
