Friday rambles

Now that I've figured out the html code for posting a picture on LJ, I have to see if I can manage to get the lovely illustration that [personal profile] tempestas_inu drew for me of a scene from "Miles from Aberdeen" onto the fic itself at Teaspoon. Wish me luck!

Changing the subject completely, but has anyone seen Casanova with David Tennant? I just started watching some of it, and it's a bit of a trippy experience -- like watching the Tenth Doctor pretending to be a Venetian womanizer. I've seen David in other roles and never before been reminded of the Doctor, but there are so many scenes in Casanova where he sounds exactly the same, it just keeps hitting me in the face. I suppose it's not too surprising considering that Casanova was written by RTD, and David used the same accent for both roles (or close enough to my ignorant American ears), but the result is a very surreal experience.

And that's it for the rambling. I'd love to give an update on my writing, but it's currently dead in the water again. I'm busy tomorrow, but I'm going to sit down on Sunday and see how much of a marathon session I can pull off.

I saw Casanova, but did not enjoy it. I just didn't like the writing. As for DT's accent in Rex is Not Your Lawyer, you're right. He made Nicola Bryant sound brilliant in comparison!

If you've ever manually added a picture on an LJ entry, it's the same way as it's done at Teaspoon. Type < img src="URL">

After you insert your image URL between the quotes, you have to remove the space after the <, but leave the space between img and src. Then your picture will show up.

ETA: And if for some reason you still do have a problem, PM me and I can add the picture to the story for you.

Thanks so much for the Teaspoon tip -- I did as you said, and the picture has now been successfully added! I wasn't sure if it would work the same way as on LJ until you said, so this was really helpful. I also appreciate your offer of assistance in case I couldn't figure it out -- thank you!
