Past time for another randomly generated fic rec!


A randomly generated fic rec is simply my way of spreading the fic-love around. While the Calufrax recommendations are great, there are a lot of stories that go unnoticed. This is my attempt to rectify that a little. To mix things up, and to keep myself from getting into a recommendation rut, I go to the Doctor Who Random Pairing Generator, here, then choose a fanfic story to recommend that is related to one or both of the characters that come up. If I can't think of a good story to recommend based on the first pairing of characters, I click again to get a new pairing. My only rule is I will not recommend a story that has already been recommended on Calufrax, since that defeats the purpose of spreading recommendations around.

Why the rec: The Doctor is jealous, and doesn't understand human behavior; Harry's a little slow on the uptake, as usual; and Sarah runs circles around them both in a set of vignettes that are charming and funny. Need I say more?

Aw, unexpected fic rec, always a bonus, whenever and wherever, and nice compliments in the comments, too. *beams*

It was a challenge from akashasheiress, though - a fic I would never write! And while I have been known to commit Harry/Sarah, this was verging on evil Harry/Sarah, so she was probably right. It's all her doing!! :lol:

Speaking of unexpected fic recs, did you see that we were kinda sorta recced by asssociation on Calufrax?

I did! :-D (Nearly mis-typed that as 'I died' which would have been untrue, and misleading. :lol:)

I was thinking, after I read this: "The RPG gave you Harry/Sarah? That's incredible!" and then I saw it gave you Harry rather than both. I don't think I've ever had an actual 'normal' type ship. (Oh, except once I got Nine/Rose.) Heh.

Oh, I'd never try to rec the whole pairing that comes up on the RPG! Almost always, I'd have a hard time even finding a fic, let alone a fic I want to rec! No, I cheat and allow myself to use either of the two characters that comes up -- or click again if I can't think of a good fic to rec.

It is adorable, isn't it? Although I hope you realize I didn't write it -- the author is the extremely talented thisbluespirit, who goes by "vvj5" on Teaspoon. All I did was take great pleasure in reccing it -- glad you enjoyed!
