I think I've figured out the problem . . .

I've been working on my second ficlet for [profile] 50ficlets and it's going fairly well, actually -- in fact, I think it might be ready to post tomorrow. But in the course of creating this (currently) 512-word ficlet, I have written an additional 1,134 words. That's what's in my scratch file right now.

I think I may have just figured out why I'm a slow writer . . .

Ah well - at least you're writing!

Can't wait to start reading them...

I'll be batch posting them here once I've got a decent set together, but if you want to read now, I just posted the latest one here: http://community.livejournal.com/50ficlets/123681.html Only 497 words in the final version -- somewhere in the final tweaking I lost another 15 words! Please don't feel obligated to go read it, though -- in fact, you should never feel obligated to read any of them (or anything else I write).

But yes, I do feel like this challenge has been getting me back into the writing "swing," which is a very good thing!
