Doctor Who finale thoughts
BBC America just showed a trailer for tomorrow night's Doctor Who finale, and I realized something:
The finale is going to have both the Master and UNIT in it! I hadn't put those things together until right now. Just think, we might be getting a Master/UNIT reunion! How long has it been since we had a real Master-and-UNIT story? I think we'd have to go all the way back to Delgado's last story, right? I mean, yes, the Brig punched Ainley!Master in "The Five Doctors," but I wouldn't call that much of an interaction, especially since the Master didn't even see him coming. And you can argue that some of those soldiers in "Last of the Time Lords" must have been from UNIT, but that hardly counts, either. But tomorrow night, we might get actual Master vs. UNIT! I hope we do get it, and I hope it's a big reunion, with snarky comments from the Master followed by Kate saying something totally awesome about her father. Damn, if they don't do this, I might have to write it myself.
