Eldrad, take me away . . .

I am slightly freaking out. I am way behind on some stuff for work -- two things that should have been finished last Friday, that aren't finished yet -- plus more stuff that HAS to be done in the next few days, and I would work late tonight except I can't because it's Passover, and I would work late tomorrow except my cousin is doing a second night Passover seder (although I am seriously considering risking family guilt by saying I just can't go to that one). And I'm leaving for a week-long work trip this weekend (a major reason why all these things have to get done) and I still have little logistical things to take care of in relation to that, and oh yes, I haven't even started my taxes yet. (For non-Americans, those are due on the 15th, and even if you file for an extension you have to do some paperwork and have enough figured out to know if you owe anything and how much).

Which is why getting possessed by an alien hand is starting to sound very attractive right now . . . no thoughts except "Eldrad must live," and nothing to do except step into the core of a nuclear reactor.

Okay, I admit the second part wouldn't be that great. But the first part is still feeling frighteningly preferable to my current situation. If nothing else, it would give me a great excuse for not getting all this stuff done, right? Right?

Maybe I want an alien invasion to put it all into perspective.

But I suspect I just want the Doctor to come and rescue me.
