Fanvid: Story in Your Eyes (Doctor/Sarah)
Fanvid is finished! I decided to start out by posting it at Vimeo:
Title: Story in Your Eyes (Doctor/Sarah)
Characters: The Doctor, Sarah Jane Smith
Clips from: Doctor Who, Sarah Jane Adventures
Music: "Story in Your Eyes" performed by The Moody Blues
Link to video: http://www.vimeo.com/22349177
Password: story
By the way, I realized something last night. My very first Doctor Who fanfic -- "Miles from Aberdeen" -- was about Sarah letting go of the Doctor. This fanvid -- my first -- is about the Doctor letting go of Sarah. Someone could probably psychoanalyze me for their dissertation, couldn't they? Anyway, I hope you enjoy it!

The truth is, this fanvid is pretty much exactly how I see the Doctor/Sarah relationship. They're in love with each other, but they're never going to get together. "Story in Your Eyes" is practically their theme song in my head, which is why I've wanted this fanvid for so long.
The scene that was too short for the lyric was the bit from "Planet of Evil" where the Doctor is staring into Sarah's eyes: " . . . is the music to the story in your eyes." When you watch that scene, they seem to connect with each other for a long moment, but in reality, there's almost no time before Sarah breaks contact and looks down. But the slow-motion thing sounded very complicated to implement, and I decided that the scene worked reasonably well as it stood. The running scene in "School Reunion" is also slightly too short, and that would've been a nice one to slow up, too, if I knew how to do it. I'm glad it all looks like it fits, though!
