I had exactly the same reaction until someone on asexual_fandom put up a couple of recs, and I kind of found my way into the fandom backwards. The acting's amazing and the writers did a fantastic job of keeping every ounce of the spirit of Holmes - the light and the dark - while still porting it body and soul into 2010. They even got Watson right.

Daleks vs Honda Civics reminds me of David Mitchell's argument that increasing access for disabled people is a Dalek plot to take over the world more efficiently, but I can't seem to find the clip on YouTube.
