So I'm a little bit behind the times, but I just saw The Avengers tonight! Wow, that was a really good movie!

Now I have to go and rent Iron Man.

I liked that it didn't try too much to be heavy and meaningful - I mean, it is an explosions-superhero film, it's not going to be profound. So it went for the clever laughs instead and did so brilliantly.

Yes! I think Whedon knew exactly what type of movie he wanted to make, and then nailed it.
