in which Netflix is becoming distinctly annoying

One of the reasons I started getting "Secret Diary of a Call Girl" DVDs is that I have been waiting for season two of Downton Abbey to become available on Netflix. Strictly speaking, those DVDs *are* available, but they are sitting on my queue with a little red tag next to them that says "very long wait." They have been so sitting for awhile now.

Come on, Netflix, how much can it cost to buy another set of Downton Abbey DVDs? Let's get a move on, okay?

You'd have thought, given DA's overwhelming popularity there as well as here, that they'd have the sense to buy several copies!

(Mind you, LoveFilm are no better!)

Aw. That is crazy. I'd lend you mine if only it weren't completely impossible and impractical. ;-)

*glares at Netflix for you*

You're right, you would think so! Sorry to hear that LoveFilm isn't better.

What's particularly frustrating is that season two used to be up on the internet at the PBS site, but that was when I was still making my way through season one (which I had to get through Netflix, so it took awhile). By the time I was ready for season two, PBS had taken it down again. Arrghh!

I've got my LF account on suspension for 3 months because I was (a) unable to afford it, but also (b) fed up with their shenanigans!
