Thank you back for doing the ficfest, because I thoroughly enjoyed myself! And double thanks for making it so easy for a complete ficathon newbie like myself to join in, because otherwise I might not have had the courage to give it a try. The fact that I could post a prompt without committing to write, that I could look over the prompts and claim the one I wanted, and having a minimum of 500 words were all factors that influenced me to get interested in the first place and to finally decide to take the plunge. And I'm very happy I did because I wouldn't have written this story otherwise -- I didn't even know there was a direct reference to G&S in Doctor Who until I saw the prompt -- but I had a ton of fun!
