jumping on the drabble-matic bandwagon

As I think my entire flist knows by now, if you go to this site and enter adjectives, adverbs, nouns, etc., it will generate short ficlets for you (incorrectly labeled "drabbles"). The results range from bizarre to absolutely hysterical (sometimes both).

Since everyone else has been playing around with it, I had to give it a try. And of course, I had to put in the Doctor and Sarah.

The Adventure Of The Cat

Sarah and The Doctor were out for a sleepy Valentine's walk on a rock. As they went, The Doctor rested his hand on Sarah's elbow. It was the most romantic walk ever. But even though the day was so purple, Sarah was filled with transparent dread.

"Do you suppose it's bouncy here?" she asked heavily.

"You brilliant silly," The Doctor said, tickling Sarah with his Tardis. "It's completely frantic."

Just then, a furry cat leapt out from behind a stuffed owl and slapped The Doctor in the shoulder. "Aaargh!" The Doctor screamed.

Things looked beautiful. But Sarah, although she was transcendent, knew she had to save her love. She grabbed a sonic screwdriver and, like a game show contestant with a parting gift, beat the cat quickly until it ran off. "That will teach you to slap innocent people."

Then she clasped The Doctor close. The Doctor was bleeding sadly. "My darling," Sarah said, and pressed her lips to The Doctor's foot.

"I love you," The Doctor said slowly, and expired in Sarah's arms.

Sarah never loved again.

(And yes, I stole the simile from Blues Traveler's song "Run-Around.")

I bet the TARDIS would be good at tickling!

(I'm just slightly worried by how much this actually kinda sorta makes sense . . . *g*)

The nature of Doctor Who is such that a good many of them DO make a sort of sense!
