some Brigadier fanvid recs

People have been posting Nicholas Courtney / Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart tribute videos like crazy over on YouTube. Here are some of my favorites so far, in no particular order:

1) Clips of the Brigadier being all Brigadier-y (including dialogue), set to New Who background music: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LX1aqFpPiIU

2) Doctor Who Online's tribute, to "Nobody Does It Better": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=arUeqQ5LsZw

3) A really nicely put together fanvid to Nickelback's song "Hero": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-S6FMNpNVaM

4) A more action-oriented fanvid to, um, a song I don't recognize. Lots of nice clips, with occasional breaks for dialogue: ETA: the fanvid has been removed and re-uploaded. This time the author shared the name of the song; it's "The Saboteur" by Sabaton. The new url for the fanvid is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6UCYxso6SHc

5) A more reflective fanvid to "The Cave" by Mumford and Sons (okay, I didn't know the song, but I liked it): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P0GSwLdtBI0

6) And finally, I found a clip of Katy Manning telling stories at a party for Nicholas Courtney's 80th birthday. It's not very long, but you can still see what a wonderful person Nick Courtney was, and how well loved he was by those who knew him. So there you go, the greatest ultimate tribute to the Brigadier: Nicholas Courtney. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wQpCrAn5hbk

Thanks for sharing.

"The Cave" has to be one of my favourite song ever.

The Nickelback tribute... the maker of that vid made me cry when they posted a review of Battlefield not twenty minutes after the news started circulated. They'd just finished watching and didn't know.

I'm thinking about buying "The Cave" from the iTunes store, which will be one of many times that I've bought a song because I heard it on someone's YouTube fanvid. (Music publishers, take note!)

*hugs* for the ill-timed Battlefield review.
