I think the world needs more happiness right now, and my flist always deserves happiness, so I want to share two happy videos I've been hitting "replay" on a lot lately:

1) rengeek brought this all-era* Doctor Who video to my attention in a recent post, and I'm so glad he did, because it is impossible to watch it without grinning by the end. I'm usually tapping my feet too, and okay, singing along even. Yes, I confess I've been a long time fan of this song:

* Well, it's missing Eleven, but that's because it was made before S5.

2) I am not a Sarah/Harry shipper, but I do have a lot of affection for Harry Sullivan, and this video is so full of old-time charm, it never fails to make me happy:

Heh. I guess you'll have gone by now - I was watching last night's ep of 'The Mentalist', so didn't see this earlier...

Turns out I'd seen the Harry one already (not that I minded watching it again).

And not enough Martha in the 10 Doctors one (but then, that's my usual complaint!)

They're both great - especially the Muppet one. I saw it yesterday on my flist, so it must be doing the rounds, and deservedly - there was some brilliant editing in there, oh my. :-)

I think I had seen the Harry/Sarah one before, but I had lost it, and it made me laugh all over again. Harry... Aw.

Yeah, that's one problem with multi-era vids -- there are so many characters to get in, it's hard for each to have more than a cameo. I did think the overall coverage was good, though, and I was impressed that Eight actually showed up more than once. (I like Eight, and he's hardly ever in these things, for understandable reasons.)

Yep, that's where I saw it, making the rounds. I agree, the editing is brilliant! The scenes not only make complete sense with the words of the song, but if you know the context of the scenes, they make even more sense! I really, really wish I had skills like this. (Okay, I really, really wish I had vidding skills in general . . . )

That Muppets video has been in the Death by Aspirin playlist for weeks now. It is indeed awesome.

Haven't seen the Sarah-Jane/Harry one before and it made me awwww.

You have a playlist at Death by Aspirin??? Where would I find that?

I've tried wandering over to Death by Aspirin a time or two, but I've never been able to really figure it out. For some reason, forums confuse me.

Come over! Come over! It's easy enough.

The forums look all intimidating, but really you only need to bother with them if you're posting something new or looking up something old (it's just for organization). Everything else... well... 90% my interaction there is clicking the "View the 50 most recent posts of this forum." button under the info centre at the bottom of the page and then replying to everyone.

And then there's the c-box chat room below the info centre where everyone hangs out in real time and chats away about time chickens and cake and things. :D

As for the playlist. Heh. I'll pm you in a moment.

Yeah, I figured that. To be fair, I think the Rose appearances were mostly due to her being Nine's main companion. Jamie showed up a lot, too.

I've found over the last day, the Harry/Sarah one has helped cheer me up a bit - a timely rec, thank you!! :-)

And, yes, it really was something, that muppet one. I mean, there are some excellent, excellent vids out there, and that's right up with the best of them.

Oh, and when you get your vidding skills, I'd like a Five/Tegan one, please. :lol:

I'm happy to add Five/Tegan to the list to vids I want to make someday. Just bear in mind that even if I do manage to ever figure out how to put together a vid, I'm unlikely to be any good at it!
