That's the true spirit of Christmas - me getting to be all excited with my friends around the world at Christmas about the Christmas episode. Doesn't have quite the same effect in April... ;-)

I did like it, but I don't know how it'll stand up to rewatches. Already I've started to deconstruct it in my head and find issues. May just stop because I loved the feel of it and adored The Moff's writing. He really is brilliant.

Yes, it must be frustrating on the other side, too, when you want to discuss something but have to wait because the other person hasn't seen it yet!

I've rewatched it once already, and it stood up well, I thought -- in fact, better than I was expecting. Of course, YMMV. There are definitely plot holes and issues, but for some reason Moff's plotholes don't bother me in the same way that RTD's plotholes did. I think it might be because Moff's holes come out of his plot -- he does something clever, but then once you start thinking about it you realize it doesn't really make sense, but yet somehow it still comes across as clever instead of a big whomping hole.
